Building on my experience as a fashion designer and boutique owner and my love of sewing and wearing hats, I now focus on designing and making ladies’ couture hats, headpieces and fascinators. I specialise in bespoke hats, creating individual designs for my customers on request. But I also create new designs available for sale on-line.
I studied millinery at Kensington and Chelsea College and at Janie Lashford’s School of Millinery. I continue to develop my skills by attending various master classes.
All my hats are made by hand using both traditional and more modern techniques. I work with a variety of luxurious materials and create hand-made flowers and trimmings in organdie, silk, lace, felt, straw and leather. I try to use ethically sourced products and frequently include pre-loved fabrics and jewellery in my designs.
I am very happy to use your own fabric to match your outfit. I recognise that while some people love wearing hats, others are more reluctant but are going to an event where a hat is required. But I believe that everyone suits a hat; it’s just a case of finding the right style for you.
